Running concurrently at Bard with the ENVISION Retreat is Voice & Vision’s Summer Theater Intensive for Emerging Theater Artists. This exciting multi-disciplinary theater program engages master teachers from New York City to work with emerging artists and select undergraduates for two full weeks. Students come from schools across the United States including Weslyan, Colgate, Barnard, SUNY Purchase, NYU, Columbia, Carnegie Mellon and Bard. Each day includes master classes in movement, voice, and text with Sharon Fogarty and Ruth Maleczech (Co-Artistic Directors, Mabou Mines). In the afternoon, students collaborate on a project together, lead by performance mentors. This close-knit working and living environment, with both students and professionals, allows for an invigorating experience in theater training and performance development.
