The Voice & Vision developmental process begins each summer at our annual ENVISION Retreat at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY, where selected artists immerse themselves in a focused, creative environment. A number of these artists and their projects are invited into our New York City–based ENVISION Lab, where we continue to provide support throughout the year. Carefully tailored to the individual needs of each project, some of the development opportunities include dramaturgical and artistic guidance, professional support and introductions, readings and workshops.

As you already know, Voice & Vision is unparalleled in its focus on the development of theater by women. Despite perceived progress in all aspects of American life, the number of women whose works are produced in the U.S. remains disproportionately small. Voice & Vision is committed to providing talented women artists the time and resources required to create work that will change the landscape of American theater.
